ABOUT THE JORDAN TOURISM BOARD

The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) was officially launched in March 1998 as an independent, public – private sector partnership committed to utilize marketing strategies to brand, position and promote the Jordan tourism product as the destination of choice in the international markets. The adopted strategies are tuned to reflect the true image of the Jordan tourism product, being a cultural, natural, religious, adventurous, leisure and MICE destination.

As part of its marketing strategies, the JTB plans and executes an integrated program of international promotional activities. This program includes the active participation in trade fairs, trade workshops, trade and consumer road shows, familiarization trips, press trips, brochure & multimedia production, and media relations. To carry out its goals, the Jordan Tourism Board utilizes the services of eleven offices in Europe and N. America.

Awards
  1. The Jordan Tourism Board won the World Best Garden award, and the Gold Medal at the RHS Hampton Flower Court. The garden reflects some of the diversity of the landscape to be found along the Jordan River Valley and Petra Valley. The garden celebrates the uniqueness of the country through its plants, people and landscape.

  3. The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) won the 2012 best practices award during the Philoxenia Conference on Religious and Cultural Tourism in Greece
  4. Jordan Tourism Board earns the Guinness book largest sand art structure May 2012
  5. The Jordan Tourism Board received an award for the best stand design at FITUR international tourism exhibition in 2007.
  6. The Brighter Group got awarded a Silver Standard at the annual CIMTIG travel marketing awards for its work with Visit Jordan during 2012, as part of the ‘reassurance campaign’ and the Petra/Lawrence anniversaries!
